RN (Full Time, 2nd Shift / Part Time, 3rd Shift)

Overview:

To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing Services, Nurse Supervisor and Administration, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Medication administration and treatments
  • Assessment and documentation
  • Blood sugar checks and insulin administration
  • Updating MDs and NPs and writing orders
  • PICC line administration of medications
  • IV skills
  • Supervise and assign duties to CNAs on wing
  • Any other duties that are within nursing scope of practice
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Wisconsin or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Registered Nurse
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity desirable
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws
  • Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care desirable

CNA (Full Time 1st and 2nd Shift)

CNA (Part Time, 3rd Shift)

Overview:

To perform direct care duties under the supervision of professional, licensed nursing personnel.  Assist in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions
  • Measure and record temperature, pulse and respirations, weight and measure residents
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures
  • Observe and report presence of skin breakdowns
  • Review care plans daily
  • Report changes in resident conditions to supervisor
  • Ability to communicate with residents and to remain calm under stress
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state certification requirements or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Nurse Assistant
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program

Housekeeper  (Part-Time, Day Shift, Flexible Hours)

Overview:

To perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, facility policies, and as may be directed the Housekeeping Supervisor, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform day to day housekeeping functions and specific tasks as assigned
  • Clean, wash, polish, sanitize, deodorize an disinfect all areas and items in the facility including furnishings, fixtures, trash bins, windows, mirrors, floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, bathrooms, etc. using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions and procedures
  • Ensure that work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner, clearly marked with caution or safety signs, as required
  • Ensure that work areas are free of all hazardous objects
  • Ensure that all tools and supplies are properly stored at all times
  • Ensure that established Universal Precautions and infection control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices and procedures are maintained and followed when performing housekeeping duties
  • Attendance as scheduled is required
