The goal at our Waunakee Manor rehabilitation program is to enhance lives and assist individuals with lifestyle variations caused by injury or illness. We promote functional independence, prevention of further disability, and maintenance of complete wellbeing. Our experienced, interdisciplinary team is dedicated to returning patients to their homes, independent living communities, or assisted living residences. In the event long-term care is necessary, our priority is the preservation of the patient’s skills and abilities.
At Waunakee Manor we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient therapy services by professional staff, which includes licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, and speech therapists.
Our Physical Therapists are highly skilled at strengthening skills such as:
- Gait & Balance Training
- Strength & Endurance Training
- Tissue & Joint Mobilization
- Adaptive Equipment Training
- Restorative Home Exercise Programming
- Fall Prevention Practices
Occupational Therapists excel at cultivating:
- Self-Care Skills (Dressing, Feeding, Grooming)
- Range of Motion
- Strength & Endurance Training
- Adaptive Equipment Training
- Memory Skills
Speech Therapy focuses on:
- Language & Voice Therapy
- Treatment of Swallowing Disorders
- Cognitive Retraining
- Aural Rehabilitation & Hearing Aid Training
- Augmentative Communication; Systems Include:

- Gestural & Picture Communication Board
